Salt & Pepper Chips are a British Chinese takeaway essential and now you can make them at home! They're really simple to make with a homemade salt & pepper seasoning - the perfect addition to so many Asian dishes or fake aways.
Cook 350g chips. You can use homemade chips or frozen chips. I prefer to cook them in the air fryer

As your chips are cooking, dice ½ red pepper and slice 2 spring onions. Set to one side

When the chips are cooked, heat 1 tbsp sunflower oil in a wok or pan over a high heat

Add the pepper and spring onions to your wok and cook stirring often for 2 minutes

When the vegetables have softened slightly add the cooked chips along with 2 tsp minced garlic and 1 tsp salt & pepper seasoning

Briskly stir the chips in the pan for a further 2 minutes to coat them in the seasoning and garlic

Serve and garnish with 1 spring onion and 1 red chilli (optional)
Yes, this recipe does have a lot of salt in it. If you are worried you can use less seasoning when cooking.
